▸ FOR DEVELOPERS

Sell your game.
Let players own it.

Ownable Games is a PC game store where players genuinely own their copies. When a player resells your game, you earn a royalty. A fair marketplace that works for you and your players.

We're building this for developers and gamers alike. Your input helps us find the best model for everyone. Sign up and tell us what would make this work for you.

Why it matters

▸ FULL-PRICE CONFIDENCE

Players buy sooner

Players who know they can resell a game they're done with are more likely to buy at full price. The game isn't a sunk cost, it's liquid. This shifts the purchase decision from “wait for a sale” to “buy now.”

Players buy sooner when the game is liquid, not locked.

▸ FEWER REFUNDS

Less buyer's remorse

When players know they can resell a game they don't click with, they're less likely to request a refund. Instead of losing the sale entirely, the copy circulates and you earn a royalty each time it changes hands.

A resale is better for you than a refund.

Questions

Doesn't resale cannibalize my new sales?

No. The launch window lock protects the period where most sales happen. After that, resale serves a different buyer, someone who wasn't going to pay full price regardless. You earn a royalty and gain a reachable customer.

What royalty percentage does the store keep?

We haven't decided yet, and that's the point. We're in the discovery phase, trying to find an equitable model for all stakeholders. Participating in our survey helps us shape the final royalty structure and overall model.

How is this different from a key reseller like G2A?

Key resellers operate without publisher consent, don't pay royalties, and are a source of fraud and chargebacks. We're a first-party store where you list your game directly, set your own resale terms, and earn a royalty every time a copy changes hands. There is no gray market here.
